“TAS” TAG 125 CLASS SUMMARY

Rotax Max 125 – Parilla Leopard 125 – PRD Fireball 125

This class is designed to cater for the introduction of other similar 125cc engines to that of the Rotax.
Leopard has been included in the 2006 Manual as a full status class and will run at the AKA Nationals.
PRD also have a suitable engine on the market that falls into this category.

The class' sole intention is to try and address the following issues that are unique to our State;
*Fluctuating numbers of Rotax entries at race meetings
*The arrival of a number of Leopards and PRD's into the State
*Number of classes run at race meetings
*The number of times that classes have been cancelled at race meetings

In lieu of introducing another class, the State Karting Council have spent considerable time and effort acquiring data and relevant information on this class structure, already run in mainland states, to determine what would be better to Tasmania until such time that there are sufficent numbers for the classes to stand alone.

The class will be continually monitored in regards to parity, numbers etc.

“TAS” TAG 125, in addition to normal open meetings, will also run as a class in the Closed Title Series. Incorporated in this series, is a seperate Leopard series supported by Remo Racing, the engines importer. Trophy / Series winners will be extracted from the results of the class at each round of the Closed Titles and Trophies are supplied by the series sponsor, Remo Racing.

The following weights and tyres will be used in Tasmania for 2006 unless changed after monitoring of each round.
